Join us for a hands-on evening where we’ll harvest and work with fresh roselle calyces and learn how to turn them into homemade roselle jam.

We’ll talk about when roselle is ready to harvest, how to remove and use the calyces, and different ways this unique plant can be used in the kitchen. Then we’ll cook a batch of roselle jam together so you can see the process from plant to jar.

If you didn’t grow roselle with us this year, that’s completely okay. Everyone is welcome.

GROWING SOMETHING GOOD

A portion of every ticket will be donated to Reach Unlimited, a Cypress organization supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through opportunities to learn, work, build skills, and participate in their community.

It’s another chance to take something we grew in the garden, turn it into food, and let a little of what we created together go back into our community.

Come curious and come ready to turn one of the garden’s most interesting fall harvests into jam.
